Privacy Policy

1. Who we are & scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Moneyfolio (“we”, “us”) handles information collected through laxmi.moneyfolio.in (the “Site”) and the Laxmi early-access programme. It applies to this Site only, not to any third-party site we link to.

2. Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us through our forms:

• Early-access waitlist: name, and (optionally) email, country, phone, your trading experience, broker, what you’d like help with, and whether you consent to updates.
• Contact form: name, and (optionally) email, country, phone, and your message.
• Basic technical data: with each submission we record a timestamp and the page URL it came from. We do not run advertising trackers.

Email is optional; if you don’t provide it we may be unable to reply or send you an invite.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• add you to the early-access waitlist and manage invitations;
• reply to your enquiries; and
• send occasional product updates — only if you ticked the consent box. We do not send marketing emails to people who opted out, and we never sell your data.

4. Consent & legal basis

We process your information based on your consent, given when you submit a form. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you may withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights”). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.

5. How & where we store it

The Site is a static website with no first-party server. Form submissions are sent to a configured third-party endpoint — currently a Google Apps Script web app that appends your entry to a private Google Sheet. If no endpoint is configured, the data stays only in your own browser’s local storage and never leaves your device. We keep access to these records restricted to our team.

6. Third parties we rely on

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Site:

• Google — Apps Script & Sheets store waitlist/contact submissions.
• Vercel — hosts and serves the Site; processes standard server logs.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

7. Data retention

We keep waitlist and contact information for as long as the early-access programme is active, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. After that we delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Subject to the DPDP Act, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent or raise a grievance. To exercise any of these, email us at moneyfolio858@gmail.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable period.

9. Cookies & local storage

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The Site may use your browser’s local storage to remember interface preferences and, where no form endpoint is configured, to hold your own submissions on your device. You can clear this at any time from your browser settings.

10. Children

The Site and Laxmi are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS in transit and access controls on stored records. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
